Cannabinoid Extraction

Potency testing begins with the extraction of the cannabinoids. Testing Technologies Inc. uses the most advanced extraction techniques in the industry. Our extraction methods guarantee that the molecules of interest are fully extracted and not left behind. Incomplete extractions can result in low and inaccurate results.

Our extraction method is not only the best in the industry; it is also significantly less wasteful and more environmentally friendly than other methods currently in use. Our method uses less than 50% of the amount of solvents typically used during the extraction process, making our method not only the most accurate but also the most sustainable.

Cannabinoid Quantification

Testing Technologies Inc. utilizes High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to quantify cannabinoids in the full range of I-502 products. We use validated methods that have been peer-reviewed and optimized for accurate and precise analysis.

It is widely accepted that the HPLC method is superior to GC/FID because it provides detection for a wider range of cannabinoids. GC/FID, for example, cannot accurately measure acid cannabinoids, such as THC-A or CBD-A, because the cannabinoids are decarboxylated in the injector port of the GC before they can be measured.

Our analysis identifies and quantifies the amount of total Cannabidiol (CBD-A, CBD, and CBD-V), Tetrahydrocannabinol (∆9THC-A, ∆9THC, ∆8THC, THC-V), Cannabinol (CBN), Cannabichromene (CBC), and Cannabigerol (CBG-A and CBG).
